Following the success of Peta's debut UK Vegan Fashion Awards last year, the animal rights group has revealed

its second annual award winners.

The winning fashion labels and retailers were selected by artist and tv presenter Louise Redknapp, who admitted that she was “astonished by the huge selection of stylish animal-friendly products” currently available in stores."

This year's award winners ranged from high-street labels, such as New Look for 'Most Stylish Women's High Heels' and Miss Selfridge for 'Most Stylish Women's Outerwear,' to more deluxe designer brands, like Stella McCartney for 'Most Stylish Women's Knitwear' and Vivienne Westwood for 'Most Stylish Men's Outerwear,' as well as boutique vegan labels such as Beyond Skin for 'Most Stylish Women's Flat Shoes,' and Wills for 'Most Stylish Men's Shoes.'

Other retailers who were awarded prizes include Next, Asos, Topshop and Disaster Designs. Cornwall based designer Alice Vandy, whose colorful, digitally-printed leggings, dresses and swimwear are animal friendly, won the title of 'Most Talented New Designer.'

The winning designs all use innovated fabrics, such as vinyl, cashmilon and faux suede, with the hopes of showing fashion designers and fashion fans in the UK that here is no reason to wear the skin or hair of animals. Peta aims to show the public that ethical and affordable vegan fashion can be chic and sophisticated with its fashion awards.

"Everywhere I go, from designer shops to the local Topshop, I see beautiful, animal-free clothes, bags, shoes and wallets," commented Redknapp. "As an animal lover, I was delighted to help Peta choose this year's best cruelty-free contributions to the fashion world. All of the winners and nominees prove how easy it is to dress ethically from head to toe."
