Primark owner sees profit rise

Fast fashion retailer Primark was in part responsible for the growth of its parent company,

AB Foods. The company has seen robust sales and announced a 3% rise in half-year profits.

Primark saw a 15% rise in sales as customers sought discount fashion during tough economic times.

The retail chain said it had added one million square foot of selling space in the past year and that "this pace of expansion is expected to continue".
