SuperGroup total sales for the quarter have increased by 20.3

percent to 98.4 million pounds (156 million dollars) and for the half year increased by 16.2 per cent to 158.2 million pounds (250 million dollars). Whilst mindful of a competitive Christmas trading season ahead, the Group is on track to deliver a profit figure in-line with the market’s expectations for the full year.

Total UK sales in the quarter were 52.2 million pounds (82 million dollars), an increase of 32.2 percent on the comparable period last year, and like-for-like sales were up 5.8 percent. For the half-year, sales increased 26.5 percent to 92.4 million pounds (146 million dollars) and like-for-like sales were 3.9 percent.

Commented Julian Dunkerton, Chief Executive Officer, “This is a further solid set of results from the Group. We recognise that economic conditions remain challenging but through our sales performance to date we can see that the Superdry brand remains in good health and is well positioned ahead of our peak trading.”

“Whilst I am pleased with the progress that the new team is making there remains much to do. We are in the process of introducing a key number of systems and operational developments to ensure our infrastructure capabilities match the size of the business and our ambitions. I am, however, confident that the Group will deliver these and meet its financial objectives,” added Dunkerton.
