Zara is upsizing its Liverpool One store by more than a third to create a 27,221 square foot ‘regional flagship’.

The Spanish retail chain is taking over a unit currently occupied by lingerie retailer Boux Avenue, and Zara will reopen the larger store this autumn, while Boux Avenue will relocate to a 2,821 square foot store on the upper level.

Miles Dunnett, head of asset management at Grosvenor Liverpool Fund, which owns Liverpool One, said: "Zara has been seeking a larger store in Liverpool One for some time due to the strength of the brand's performance.

“Working closely with the Inditex team, we have created their ideal store, one that allows the Zara brand to be brought to life in what will be their new regional flagship. Zara is the latest in a series of brands to upsize at Liverpool One, joining Ted Baker and Coast in expanding to accommodate demand from consumers."
