British label Alexander McQueen has announced that its diffusion line, McQ is to debut at London Fashion Week in February, 2012. The catwalk show, presenting the brands autumn/winter 2012 collection, coincides with the
opening of its first standalone flagship, which is due in the spring on Dover Street, London.
The
flagship store will be situated in a four-storey Georgian townhouse and will spans across 273 sq m and will offer womenswear, menswear as well as accessories from the collection. The retail space is set to be designed by Pod.
It is the first time McQ is to show at LFW since its launch. The main line Alexander McQueen collection will continue to show during Paris Fashion Week.
The news follows the announcement yesterday that Stella McCartney is to host a special fashion presentation for a new one-off collection on the evening of February 18 as part of London Fashion Week.
