Fashion SVP: Europe’s Premier Sourcing Event

Fashion SVP is the UK’s ‘must-attend’ event for fashion production sourcing. This September over 150 garment and fabric producers from across the UK, Europe and the Mediterranean, producing for brands such as The Factory Shop, Phase Eight, ASOS, Inditex, Otto Group, Ted Baker, Karen Millen, Coast, French Connection and Massimo Dutti, will be participating in its 5th edition, taking place on 29th-30th September 2015, at London’s leading events venue, Olympia. Fashion production professionals, including designers, brands, boutique owners and larger retailers, are busy registering for what many in the fashion world are referring to as the most useful event of the year for anyone at the sharp end of fashion production.

This year the event will feature fashion producers and factories from over 12 countries, producing both casual and formal wear in knits, jerseywear and wovens with a mixture of conventional and specialised fabrics and techniques. Visitors can view samples of their work and discuss their capabilities in terms of design, fabric sourcing, minimums, lead times and so on. The exhibition will benefit both experienced sourcing professionals who wish to discuss larger orders and smaller brands and boutiques looking to manufacture their own label for the first time.

The event is also packed with useful information in the form of seminars and workshops (free to attend for all visitors), looking at all aspects of fashion production, from “how-to” hands-on advice in workshop sessions about the techniques, methods and problems in production, to more strategic issues in sourcing and retailing in out popular seminar series, all presented by leaders in their field. Speakers include professionals from Jaeger, Bolongaro Trevor, F&F, Vivienne Westwood, UKFT, Coats and Fashion Enter.

In the exhibition itself, visitors can view fashion garments and fabrics presented by carefully selected manufacturers and design agencies, all on hand to give you the best advice on production and fabric sourcing. Groups from Portugal, Turkey and Romania are being featured this year as well as an exciting Sustainable Fabrics feature being presented by Future Fabrics Expo, which has doubled in size from last year.
