British monthly magazine Glamour is teaming up with fashion e-tailer Very.co.uk to launch its first ever clothing range. The debut collection, which launches this week, has been designed by Glamour editor Jo Elvin, creative and fashion director

Charlotte-Anne Fidler and senior fashion editor Sophie Cooper, and comprises of 13-pieces for spring/summer 2013.

Focusing
on timeless wardrobe classics, highlights from the debut range include a tweed biker jacket, a sharp-collared white shirt, a puffball mini skirt and a black broderie shirt dress. The colour palette of the capsule line, as selected by the Glamour team is a muted monochrome mix of classic whites, blacks and greys with a touch of pink.

The debut pieces will be followed by a “slimmed down mid-season update” in April/May, and a larger range is planned for autumn/winter 2013, which will also include a mid-season edit due in October/November.

Commenting on the collection, Elvin said: “The team at Glamour and I have loved every minute of designing this collection for Very.co.uk. What a fantastic opportunity to bring to life the essence of what the team loves about getting dressed with one of the most collaborative etailers operating in the UK market today.

"Our aim for the first collection was to create the building blocks of a great wardrobe with pieces that are classic with an edge. My personal highlights from the spring/summer range are the embellished collar and the white shirt with broderie detail on the collar, which is just about the most perfect white shirt you could wish for and sums up the whole collection perfectly – a great quality basic with a covetable twist.”

Director at Very.co.uk, Jon Owen, added: “We are absolutely thrilled to have Glamour magazine on board as our new design partner. The collection that Jo, Charlotte-Anne and Sophie have created is a perfect fit for Very.co.uk and our customers – quirky and fashion-forward yet timeless and 100% wearable. We predict big things for the collection and for our continued collaboration over the coming seasons.”

Glamour will launch the collection with a four-page editorial in the March 2013 issue of the magazine and online, and the team will also take part in a Google+ hangout with Very fans.

Prices for the collection range from 15 to 59 pounds, and it will sit alongside Very’s other exclusive collections designed by Fearne Cotton, Holly Willoughby and Jameela Jamil.
