Boutique department store Liberty is planning to open a series of pop-up

shops across the UK. The company, which in recent years has downsized after restructuring its business and closing part of its Regent Street store, is searching the UK for suitable locations between 2,000 and 3,000 square feet.

The shops are to open in time for the Christmas shopping period and potential locations are understood to include Cambridge, Bath, Chester, Edinburgh and London, as well as the Bluewater shopping centre in Kent and the Bicester Village outlet centre in Oxfordshire.

The news follows the opening of a Liberty pop-up at the Westfield Stratford City shopping centre last month which is adjacent to the London 2012 stadium.
