Plus-size fashion retailer Navabi has been shortlisted for two 2014 World Retail Awards, including Best New Retail
Concept and Pure-Play Online Retailer.“We are very excited that Navabi is nominated for Pure Play Online Retailer and Best New Retail Concept for the forthcoming World Retail Awards,” commented Zahir Dehnadi, chief executive officer at Navabi.
“The reality of buying premium plus size fashion can be quite a challenge and Navabi’s aim is to reach out and spread the word that high quality stylish fashion does exist beyond size 14. We look forward to hearing the results on the 30 September.”
Navabi, best known for its premium plus-size apparel collections, previously received a 10 million euro capital injection to help maintain its “rapid growth rate” in Germany and to accelerate growth in international markets such as the UK, US and France.
Since the retailer first entered the e-commerce market five years ago, the online pure player has reported 100 percent growth year-on-year, highlighting the increasing demand for fashionable plus-size apparel.
The World Retail Awards, set to take place in Paris this year, is the only global retail industry award to celebrate 'retail excellence.' Currently in its eighth year, the award ceremony reported a large increase in the number entries from a growing number of countries. Other retailers nominated an award this year include John Lewis, Harvey Nichols and Marks & Spencer.
