Italian fashion house Marni is set to 20 this year and in honor of its anniversary the fashion house has planned a number

of events, as well as new business and managerial structures to help improve manufacturing and deliveries.

Marni's general manager Andrea Baldo believes that the fashion house needs to understand the market better and be able to respond to any changes or needs with on-time deliveries. Gianni Castigloni, Marni's CEO and husband of founder Consuelo Castiglioni, revealed to WWD that he hopes to increase company sales to twice the current amount within the next three years, as company revenues for 2013 (130 million euros) were equal to the previous year.

The Italian fashion house will also change its store concept and the first new store to open with the new concept will be on Sloane Street in London later this year. The new concept will feature distinct departments for different collections and accessories to aid the customers in making their selection, with an increased focus on leather goods, footwear and jewelry, as accessories currently equal one quarter of sales.

“We are taking a step forward, so that we can become more performing and more efficacious, less rigid and more flexible,” said Baldo to WWD. New stores are also set to open in China and San Francisco this year, with a showroom opening in New York in 2015. Marni is also preparing to launch its first ad campaign later this year.
