Shanghai Tang is a fashion chain company based in China. The chinese businessman David Tang founded the company in 1994. The goal of Shanghai Tang was to re-invente the fashion chinese style. Today the label offers womenswear, menswear and a house line and is known for its colouful collections. Richemont, the luxury Swiss group, acquired in 1998 a part of Shanghai Tang.
