These two ground-breaking solutions from the Software-as-a-Service innovator will allow customers unprecedented levels of accuracy in color and measurement validation and represent the latest additions to Inspectorio’s quality and sustainability network platform.
MINNEAPOLIS, October 7, 2019 - Inspectorio, the global quality and sustainability verification network platform continues to provide valuable solutions to the industry. The Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) network platform empowers brands, retailers and their suppliers to optimize for more efficient, accurate and transparent quality and sustainability. Inspectorio enhances production chain collaboration, visibility and predictive intelligence.
Now, with the introduction of Inspectorio Smart Color, a color reader integration, and Smart Color Smart Tape, a measurement integration, Inspectorio solves two key issues to drive measureable improvements in the production process. The company will debut Inspectrum and Smart Tape on October 8, 2019 at Pi Apparel Europe in Lake Maggiore, Italy.
“At Inspectorio we are constantly looking for ways to simplify the pains that many of our users experience. Based on the data gathered in the Inspectorio platform, we discovered that color reading and performing measurements cause substantial issues for our users during inspection execution,” said Carlos Moncayo Castillo, Co-founder and CEO. “With Inspectorio Smart Color and Smart Tape we have created tools that address these two idiosyncratic and fallible aspects of inspection. Now, with these integrations our users are able to upload more accurate data into the Inspectorio platform. As a result, they will be able to leverage machine learning to provide the most accurate predictions and enable more efficient continuous improvement.”
Inspectorio, which has redefined the formerly analog – and often highly subjective – inspection process, continues to build and refine its digital interface to optimize immediate results and enable greater connectivity and transparency in the production chain.
Smart Color, Inspectorio’s color reader integration, was developed to assure the accuracy of color - one of the most important characteristics of a product. Most companies rely on subjective processes to assess whether the color of what they’re producing truly matches the color of what was originally designed. Variance in technique and environment make color more difficult to accurately perceive. A change in lighting, for example, is a consistent issue in color inspections. Common solutions are costly, with many organizations implementing lightrooms specifically for this section of the inspection process.
Inspectorio Smart Color generates the perfect lighting to guarantee a correct result, allowing inspectors to quickly and easily verify whether the color of an item matches that of an approved sample. With Smart Color organizations will gather objective data on color discrepancies that goes beyond human perception with a 99% accuracy rate.
Similarly, Inspectorio Smart Tape revolutionizes another labor-intensive and time-consuming part of the inspection process, shaving off 60% of the time traditionally required to perform inspection measurements. Typically, two people are needed to perform the measurement, with one inspector reading out the points of measurement and the other inspector manually recording the findings. The result is expensive and often inaccurate data. With the Inspectorio Smart Tape, organizations will realize more accurate measurements in less than half the time.
Inspectorio’s Smart Tape integration streamlines and automates the measurement process as it reads the points of measurement to the inspector and records the measurements automatically onto the Smart Tape device. The data is uploaded in real-time in the Inspectorio application, where it is included in the final inspection report. The result is a higher level of accuracy and less time spent performing measurements.
“We are in an era where intense focus is rightfully being placed on sustainable and responsible manufacturing,” Moncayo said. “By catching errors early in the process, organizations can avoid producing product that is destined to be wasted and limit the loss of time and financial investment.”
Inspectorio is a quality and sustainability network platform, powered by Artificial Intelligence. Their unique network dynamic increases collaboration and connectivity between key stakeholders (brand, retailers, factories, vendors, and third-party inspection agencies), developing robust algorithms for automation and continuous improvement. They enable organizations committed to providing continuous quality and sustainability standards to build a digital ecosystem around their global production chain, delivering unparalleled efficiency, transparency, and accuracy.
