With London now just a couple of days away from Stitch, the leading menswear trade show, there are plenty of new developments to this season’s event. Beyond new exhibitors to watch out for including Domingo Rodriguez(winner of the Harold

Tillman Scholarship), JayK and Sinstar, entertainment from tattoo artist, Louis Molloy, and the Fatsarazzi, photography exhibition, one new stand out feature is the new virtual boutique, Stitch has launched.

In collaboration with online retailer, globalfashionbrands.com, this virtual boutique is dedicated to a selection of British independent menswear labels showcasing at this forthcoming event. A social ecommerce platform, globalfashionbrands.com is owned by New York based initiative, Nolcha. It looks set to be a hugely successful and innovative collaboration, which will enable a whole new consumer outreach and will give young British talent, a platform into a transatlantic market.

Not only will a select group of designers get their own window on this platform, but there will also be videos interviews, exclusive items and promotions. Nikki Shah, from featured brand, Trikki LTD, commented: “We are excited to use this platform to sell our brand online and to introduce our brand to the USA market through this network. Once we had uploaded our products onto globalfashionbrands.com we linked our ‘store’ to our facebook page in a matter of seconds and voila! The entire world can now buy Trikki through our facebook page as well!”

It’s a clever and exciting progression for Stitch; In addition shoppers will get a sneak peek behind the scenes at Stitch Menswear with daily trend interviews and new collection insights with designers; plus fans can have style questions answered via twitter.com/missnolcha and facebook.com/globalfashionbrands.
