The Ralph Lauren Corp. announced today that Rugby

Ralph Lauren, their diffusion brand geared toward those of the Hah-vard ilk, is shuttering both it's online store and 14 locations by 2013.

According to the company's official statement released by ‘WWD’ on Friday, Ralph Lauren Corp. will be no longer stocking up their college styled label "in order to focus resources on higher growth, more scalable global opportunities with the core Ralph Lauren brand."

With this announcement they also let all their customer be ready for more Ralph Lauren "stores and e-commerce platforms and emerging merchandise categories and regions."

Subsequent to its earnings release for the second-quarter, the company announced that it intends to focus on its higher growth businesses, and hence wants to discontinue its Rugby brand.
