Department store John Lewis and retail entrepreneur Sir Philip Green were among the

big winners at the 2013 Retail Week Awards.

Arcadia boss Sir Philip Green received a standing ovation as he received the lifetime achievement award of Outstanding Contribution to Retail. John Lewis was awarded the prestigious Retailer of the Year award as well as multichannel retailer of the year.

Asos won best Pure Play Etailer of the Year, while Zara was awarded International Retailer of the Year.

Debenhams was recognised for its success overseas, winning International Growth Initiative of the Year, as well as its Endless Aisle scheme, which scooped the Retail Technology Initiative of the Year award.

Marks & Spencer won Corporate Social Responsibility of the Year for its Shwopping campaign.

The Oracle Retail Week Awards celebrates and recognises the greatest achievements in UK retailing over the year. Judges include top executives from businesses such as British Retail Consortium, Debenhams, Aurora Fashions, MyWardrobe.com and Asda.

Retail Week Awards
