Currently working on
Raising awareness of alternative fashion brands through fundraising events - money raised is used for completion of community projects overseas; to help communities badly affected by the fast-fashion industry.
Advising and guiding start-out fashion brands, such as style FIED, on employing ethical practices within their brand. FIED stands for “fashion in an energising dimension”. Its clever craftsmanship blurs the boundaries between gym, dance, sports and street wear to bring a versatile and unique eco-conscious style.
Objectives
To raise awareness and educate consumers on the meaning of the term “ethical fashion”, introducing them to how and where they can shop more ethically; to constantly review the progress and development of the ethical fashion industry in order to produce up to date resourceful information for our users; to provide video tutorial ideas via our website on how to up-style clothing, reducing the number of garments going to landfill each year; to plant the ethical seed into the minds of future designers through working with students on educational programmes and offering work experience placements and to arrange trips of volunteers to actively go and help communities of people working within the fashion industry supply chains - with an emphasis on reducing child labour.
