The Italian upmarket department store Coin (est. 1926) has decided to make a firm start with A fish named Fred in 8 stores, among which Milano, Bologna, Como, Venezia and Rome.

AFNF is preparing special dedicated shop fixtures to give the venues a real fishy outlook

Lifestyle brand "A Fish Named Fred" is expanding rapidly. Next summer, the Amsterdam based brand will make its way into the Italy, UK, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, the Philippines, Greece and Austria. The fish has already swum to Germany, Spain, Finland, Belgium and Singapore since its launch in 2011, when founder Rob Schalker’s 10 year old daughter Isabel came up with the name.

For Spring / Summer 2014 AFNF has original design prints where Fred plays a subtle role. Shirts with fun details and hidden gimmicks are an important part of the collection. Matching polo’s in Jersey and Pique with colorful collars make an absolute best seller. Creative t-shirts and smooth brushed cotton chino pants complete the range.

Music is one of the key elements; the Latin lounge tracks on the summer range are available through Soundcloud, Spotify and iTunes. Just look for “A Fish Named Fred”!
