Abercrombie & Fitch to open first outlet store

American retailer Abercrombie & Fitch has announced that it is

to open its first European outlet store within McArthurGlen’s Ashford Designer Outlet this week.

The preppy brand is set to open on May 9 and will carry its menswear and womenswear collections as well as its childrenswear line Abercrombie Kids. The new store will sit alongside other fashion brands including Lacoste, Superdry, Fred Perry and Ted Baker.

Commenting on the Abercrombie opening, McArthurGlen Group CEO Julia Calabrese said: “We are thrilled to welcome Abercrombie & Fitch to McArthurGlen Designer Outlets, in what is their first venture in the European designer outlet market.

“We are sure that Abercrombie & Fitch will be a huge hit with our fashion-loving shoppers, seeking the signature Abercrombie & Fitch style. This is a fantastic addition to the McArthurGlen portfolio, and we look forward to developing this partnership.”

The Ashford Designer Outlet is one of seven McArthurGlen Designer Outlets in the UK, and has 80 designer and fashion brands, all offering shoppers up to 60 percent off designer pieces.
