Acne to open new London store

Swedish fashion label Acne is planning to launch its second store in London as part of the

company’s international expansion plans.

The Scandinavian firm has said that it is planning on opening a number of stores in Europe and Asia, as well as one in London, there will be new openings in Paris, Seoul and Japan, and Acne chairman Mikael Schiller said that Hong Kong was extremely important.

Currently in the UK, the premium label is stocked in its standalone store in London on Dover Street, which opened in 2010, as well as within Harrods, details regarding the second London store have not yet been released, however Schiller did state that the stores will not be in “typical fashion locations”.

Acne currently operates in 35 locations, including standalone stores and wholesale outlets, and it is hoped that the retail expansion will push its revenue up to 100 million euros this year.
