School uniforms are big business for retailers in the weeks before the school calendar resumes.
Now value chain Aldi has jumped on the uniform bandwagon, offering the UK's cheapest back to school fashion available, starting at just 4 pounds.
The new collection features a round neck sweater, two plain polo shirts and trousers or skirt and is part of the retailer’s ‘Big Back to School Blowout’ campaign which launches on July 24.
The retailer said the comparable prices at Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda are 6.75, 7.33 and 7.50 pounds respectively.
Aldi's managing director for corporate buying Tony Baines told Retail Week: "We are delighted to be able to provide our customers with a fantastic quality school uniform range at the lowest price available in any supermarket."
