Alexander Wang creates COO position

New York-based fashion label Alexander Wang has

appointed Colleen Collins to the newly-created role of chief operating officer.

Collins, who has worked for twenty years at Diane von Furstenberg, joined the company in a consulting role in February, and in her new position she will report into Wang’s president Rodrigo Bazan, and will work on operations and global business strategy, as well as information technology, logistics and human resources and company-wide operations.

“We are looking forward to having Colleen on board in a full-time role,” Bazan told WWD. “It’s the right time to bring someone of Colleen’s operational background expertise into the business. She has a proven track record in developing corporate strategy and growing organizations while overseeing ongoing operations.”
