The University for the Creative Arts has named the high-profile

figures to whom it will award honorary degrees.

For outstanding contribution to fashion, British Vogue editor, Alexandra Shulman OBE, will receive her honorary award at UCA Epsom's ceremony on 29 June 2010 at Guildford Cathedral.

Alexandra Shulman has been editor of Vogue since April 1992. Since her arrival, the magazine's circulation has risen by almost 25 percent thanks to collector's issues, such as the Gold millennium issue, and cover stars ranging from Kate Moss to Victoria Beckham.

Alexandra has won numerous awards including an OBE in the 2005 New Years Honours List for services to the Magazine Industry.

Alexandra Shulman said: "I am delighted to accept this honorary degree from the University of the Creative Arts. The creative industries are increasingly recognised for the essential and humanising contribution they make to our culture and society and the breadth of subjects at UCA can only encourage new and vital talent."
