Álvaro González launching eponymous line

Former Jimmy Choo accessories designer Álvaro

González is launching his own line of leather accessories, Álvaro, exclusively for online retailer Mr Porter.

The Florence and London-based Spanish designer, who has worked for numerous luxury labels including Valentino, Loewe, and Tod’s, as well as Jimmy Choo, is stepping out on his own to create a men’s accessories line born out of pieces the designer regularly made from himself.

Developed by specialist tanneries and crafted in artisanal workshops around Florence, the collection includes calf leather sandals, leather belts and crocodile eyewear cases in shades of aubergine, deep sea blue and dark green.

The line will launch exclusively online at Mr Porter later this summer, with prices starting at 195 pounds for a slim calf belt.
