Amanda Wakeley names managing director

Luxury womenswear fashion and lifestyle label Amanda Wakely has named Ahlya Fateh as its managing director.

Fateh held the same role at British fashion and accessories brand Tata Naka for four years and prior to that was with Condé Nast Publications in London where she launched Vogue Russia and served as managing editor of Tatler.

Her appointment follows the news that chief executive Sagra Maceira de Rosen plans to leave the company. During the transition period he will continue to support the Amanda Wakeley brand and will remaining on board to ensure a “smooth handover”.
