Amazon UK is building on its fashion offering with the launch of a dedicated sub-store for dresses as it attempts to make its website

“the best place to buy fashion online”.

The dress store features thousands of dresses from brands including Cacharel, Tommy Hilfiger, French Connection, Great Plains, Yumi, Lipsy and Hoss Intropia, as well as an exclusive designed embellished drop waist cocktail dress from Frock & Frill.

Commenting on the new shop, Sergio Bucher, European vice president of Amazon Fashion, said: “Fashion is one of the fastest growing categories at Amazon.co.uk. Our new Dress Store features a hand selected seasonal edit to help our customers find the latest on-trend products, whilst also being able to browse a wide selection of shoes, jewellery, bags and accessories to complete their outfit.

“Our aim is to make Amazon the best place to buy fashion online and we will continue to evolve our offering for the benefit of our fashion conscious customers.”

The easy-to-use sub-store allows customers to refine their search by brand, price, colour and style, as well as by trends including white, fit and flare, colour pop and lace. In addition, most styles feature a video of the product being worn by a model, in a similar fashion to Asos.

Customers buying fashion products sold by Amazon.co.uk are being offered free delivery on orders over 10 pounds and free returns, as well as next day delivery for Amazon Prime members.
