Amazon is continuing its investment in fashion with the launch of a dedicated clothing store on its Spanish website, Amazon.es.
Similar to the UK offering, the Spanish site will now feature more than 2,000 different brands including Scotch & Soda, DKNY, Desigual, Dockers, Lacoste, Esprit and French Connection.
Sergio Bucher, vice president of Fashion at Amazon EU, said: “Our new clothing store brings together the biggest brands and Amazon.es makes the perfect online store for fashion lovers. Our clients will find a wide selection of international brands like Levi’s, 7 For All Mankind or Roxy, among others. Our shelves are limitless and therefore we can offer a wide range of styles and sizes.
“We are working hard to continue adding new items and brands for our customers in the coming months.”
Previously, Amazon.es only offered footwear, accessories, watches and jewellery, now the fashion category will allow customers to choose from more than 70,000 different items.
Earlier this month Amazon UK expanded its fashion offering with the launch of a dedicated sub-store just for dresses, and it seems that Amazon Spain is moving in the same direction, as Amazon looks to make itself the “best place to buy fashion online”.
