Animal appoints new chief executive

Action sports lifestyle brand Animal has named Steve Bracewell as its new chief executive,

succeeding Rose Foster who departed from the company in August.

Joining from Sports Direct-owned outdoor brand Gelert, where he has been CEO since February 2012, Bracewell has more than 25 years experience in the fashion, sports and outdoor markets.

Prior to Gelert, Bracewell was managing director of the EMEA region at K-Swiss, and was product and marketing director at Reebok.

Bracewell takes over the role from Foster who departed suddenly in August. Foster had been with Animal since November 2011, joining the lifestyle brand from Hed Kandi Fashion, where she was managing director.
