Anya Hindmarch opens in Aoyama

Making fame with her ‘I'm Not A Plastic Bag’ design, English fashion accessories designer Anya Hindmarch

launched a new flagship in Aoyama, Tokyo’s shopping district. This is Hindmarch’s 22nd store in Japan in addition to 34 shops across the globe.

Set over two floors, the contemporary building features antique parquet flooring and a charcoal grey carpeted area. The new Hindmarch shop has a English Victorian feel to it with a rare 30s Victorian museum cabinet centre piece on the top floor, which was especially built for the Maritime Museum to house a large scale model of a ship. The concept is British heritage juxtaposed with the modern exterior and architecture of the building.
