Online retail agency Anya Media has launched a new
app for the iPhone and iPad called ‘Runway Merchandiser’, which it hopes will change the way fashion retail buyers and planners do their ‘merchandising on the move’.The free app, which is a Pret-a-Porter edition of Anya Media’s Runway merchandising software, allows buyers and planners to create mini range plans complete with pricing and margins while on the move and it has launched just in time for the up-coming fashion season including Pure London, Moda, and London Fashion Week.
Commenting on the new app, Anya Media CEO, Christina Grzasko said: “If you’re a fashion buyer, this can be a hectic time of year. You may well be planning to attend up to ten major shows in a month, taking in some big fashion weeks and brand showroom visits along the way. That’s a lot of garments and accessories to assess in a very short period and probably far too much information to retain in your head or on scraps of paper.
“The danger for buyers who do things in this way is that they end up making a rash impulse purchase of a half-remembered product. That’s where our new app comes in. What we are saying to buyers and planners is, your retail edits are too important to get lost en route and your budget is too precious to spend without doing all the sums first. The new app puts you in control, giving you time to stop and think properly before you make decisions and making sure you never lose track again.”
To accompany the launch of the new app, Anya Media will be exhibiting at Pure London and will be offering show visitors their own ‘Runway PA’ to showcase the benefits of the app.
In addition to the app, Anya Media has also unveiled that fashion label Modern Love will be its on-stand designer at Pure London, who will be using the agency’s merchandising software to showcase its spring/summer 2013 clothing range.
