Fashion retail group Arcadia, which owns Topshop and Topman,

is plotting to open more than 150 franchise stores over the next year as its pushes forward with its international expansion plans.

Announced at a conference for Arcadia’s franchise partners in London last week, Sir Philip Green said that the group has committed to launching stores around the world across its company’s brands including Topshop, Topman, Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridge and Burton, according to The Sunday Telegraph.

Green stated: “We are pushing on”, and that the Arcadia brands would be opening stores in Australia, Vietnam, and Canada, and the flagship brand Topshop was also plotting its first standalone store in New Zealand in 2014.

This follows the news last month that Arcadia is expand Topshop and Topman’s tie-up with US department store Nordstrom from 14 stores-within-stores to 42, with the 28 new stores opening in Nordstrom from this month.

In addition to its US stores-within-stores in Nordstrom, the Sunday Telegraph also states that Topshop is in “talks” to open up to five more wholly-owned stores in America. It currently has flagship stores in New York, Chicago, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
