During their AW11 sales conference, Spanish footwear brand

the Art Company announced the introduction of an iPad application to use for their sales representatives. Each sales person is given an iPad to work with, on which they can show the full collection to customers and ultimately process orders with immediate effect.

The Art Company is one of the first using this type of technology within their wholesale business, which will be replacing the use of print catalogues. The Company continues to go from strength to strength in the European footwear market, and they are confident other companies will soon be using iPad technology in this manner.

The Art Company was founded in 1995, with the Neosens® brand created in early 2007, and pride themselves on creating quality hand sewn and hand dyed ‘Original Shoes from La Rioja’. For SS11 the company used recycled materials for their Art footwear collection. Materials used include rubber, wood, cork, jute and a selection of natural fabrics to make de styles environmentally worthy.
