Online fashion retailer Asos has partnered up with the Textile Federation, a community dedicated to supporting emerging

contemporary textile print designers, to launch a new design initiative for fashion students.

The Textile Federation is inviting students from selected universities and colleges, including the University of Arts in London and Instituto Marangoni, to design a new textile print that will become part of Asos's womenwear home brand Spring/Summer 14 collection.

The design initiative, known as 'Fashion meets Art' an art collusion, has a simple brief; students are to design an abstract or illustrative artistic print with Asos' main core customer in mind. The best designs will then be shortlisted by the Textile Federation in house team before being shared online on Asos, where customers will be able to pick their favorite designs.

The winning print designers will receive 500 pounds and the chance to see their work become part of the Asos house collection. Students can submit their designs online at the Textile Federation website until February 14.
