Atelier Versace launching jewellery collection

Italian fashion house Versace is set to unveil its debut Atelier

Versace Jewellery collection at its autumn/winter 2012 couture presentation, which will take place at the Ritz Paris on July 1.

This inaugural collection will be composed of exquisite one-of-a-kind rings mounted with a variety of precious stones such as diamonds, yellow diamonds, emeralds, sapphires and amethysts, as well as aquamarine and citrine gemstones.

With many of the styles sculpted by hand, the line is aimed at “discerning couture clients” and will only be available for sale by appointment only and will not be reproduced.

“As a designer and a collector of fine jewellery I have always wanted to offer the same quality of craftsmanship in jewellery as we offer with the Atelier Versace fashion collection,” says Donatella Versace. “Each individual ring from the collection is a work of art.”

Atelier Versace returned to the Paris couture calendar last January with a presentation at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, and since then celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lady Gaga and Uma Thurman have all turned to Atelier Versace for their red carpet appearances.
