Barbour strengthens senior management team

Barbour is in the midst of bolstering its senior management team and has

tapped David Cottage as its new head of global of e-commerce and Paul Johnson Barnett as head of distribution, whilst the heritage label continues to strive to become “the best British lifestyle brand worldwide by 2020.”

Cottage is set to work close alongside with Barbour’s global head of marketing, Paul Wilkinson, to help redevelop the brands success online. Johnson Barnett, who will oversee all of Barbour’s global distribution, is set to work with the brand global supply chain and support it as the company continues to expand across the globe.

“I am delighted to welcome Paul and David to the business. As we expand and grow as a global lifestyle brand, it is important to bring in specialist knowledge and expertise in order to help us deliver our key objectives,” commented Steve Buck, managing director at Barbour to the Drum.

Prior to taking on his new role Johnson Barnett was logistics and supply chain director for Hobbycraft, whilst Cottage previously was head of ecommerce at computer firm Hewlett-Packard. “Paul and David both have extensive experience in their chosen fields and have proven track records of delivering to very high standards," added Buck.

"Their contribution to the business will assist us in our vision to become the best British lifestyle brand worldwide by 2020.”
