BFA appoints new sales and marketing director

The British Footwear Association has named John
Saunders as its new sales and marketing director, to succeed Nicholas Parry-Billings who is retiring after 19 years with the BFA.The new sales and marketing director role has been created by the BFA in line with its development programme aimed at providing increasing support for its members and the UK footwear industry. It will be Saunders responsibility to take over management of all exhibitions and international shows that BFA members attend.
Richard Kottler, CEO of the BFA said: “We are delighted John is joining us in this exciting period of development in the BFA. The new role is a critical development in our strategy of providing major support for British footwear companies.
“John will be the primary link with our increasing membership, and his particular skills and export experience will be invaluable”.
Saunders has over 30 years experience in the footwear industry, having worked internationally and in export with SSL/Scholl at director level and in senior roles with US company Brown Shoe Corporation, Florida Group and Start-rite.
