BFC and IPB announce Rock Vault Dozen

The British Fashion Council and International Palladium

Board have announced Jordan Askill, Alexandra Jefford, Hillier, Fernando Jorge, Hannah Martin and Husam El Odeh are among twelve jewellery designers chosen for the Rock Vault Dozen project taking part during London Fashion Week in September.

Launching as part of the BFC’s Rock Vault jewellery initiative that debuted in February of this year, the dozen also includes Imogen Belfield, Jo Hayes Ward, Melanie Georgacopoulos, Sophie Bille Brahe, Tomasz Donocik and Yunus and Eliza - and each designer will create a ring from an ounce of palladium to be showcased at the exhibition.

In addition, the International Palladium Board is also working with Jordan Askill, Fernando Jorge and Hannah Martin who will create capsule collections made from Palladium. Their collections will showcase the metals properties of lightness and strength, resulting in uniquely crafted jewellery pieces due for launch for spring/summer 2013.

Stephen Webster, who is a curator of the project, said: “The Rock Vault Dozen is the first incentive illustrating how this platform for emerging, British-based jewellery talent can embrace and collaborate with the ever changing economics of the industry.

"Palladium, an ancient metal with newly acquired precious status, therefore new to many, is introduced to the consumer through the creative genius of the designers within Rock Vault.”
