The British Independent Retailers Association is going on tour this summerto offer free advice and help to independent retailers as part of its new targeted awareness and support campaign.
The roadshow will visit ten initial towns across the breadth of the UK including Shrewsbury, Bath, Leamington Spa, Harrogate, Aberdeen, and Tunbridge Wells, as well as Leek, Perth, Cheltenham and Colchester.
The informal evening events will give independent retail owners the chance to network with other local businesses, as well as give them the opportunity to learn more about how Bira’s specialist service providers could save their businesses valuable time and money.
Bira’s membership and marketing director, Sarah Golden, said: “Finding time is an issue for all of us these days, but even more so for local independent retail owners who have so many business hats to wear and plates spinning.
“We’ve designed these sessions to be short, valuable and practical and instead of asking local retailers to visit us in one national location, we’re coming to their towns to try to be as helpful as we can at their convenience.”
The first Bira roadshow takes place in Shrewsbury on August 20 and ends in Colchester on October 8.
