Boohoo.com launches German language website

Online pure-player Boohoo.com launched its German local language website on Tuesday as part of the group's ongoing
expansion scheme to increase its global presence.De.boohoo.com is the third foreign language site the fashion e-tailer has launched, following the launch of its French website in October 2013 and its Spanish website this May.
A marketing campaign has also been launched in Germany to support the new local language site. Boohoo.com previously launched a global advertising campaign this summer, known as #experience everything, to help the build its brand presence.
In addition to the new language site launch, Boohoo.com also added three new currencies to its sites; Swedish Krona, Danish Krone and Norwegian Krone, to encourage overseas trading as international sales continue to increase at Boohoo.com.
For the financial year that ended 28 February, 2014, International sales accounted for 35 percent of the group's total sales, accounting for 38.8 million pounds in FY2014.
“The past year has been an exciting one, and we are very proud of the growth we have seen in both our UK and International markets,” commented Mahumud Kamani and Carol Kane, joint CEOs in the group's preliminary results and first quarter trading update.
“Looking ahead we are excited about our future growth prospects, delivering new foreign language websites and introducing additional currency options, as well as further improving our mobile website and customer experience.”
