BrandAlley, the first private sales site, has launched its first fully functional mobile platform

in the UK allowing its members to shop its sale on any mobile or tablet device, with the aim to double its sales via mobile this year.

The mobile site was built for BrandAlley by Usablenet and is fully accessible through any smartphone or tablet device, and has been created to fully replicate the user journey on BrandAlley’s main site making it quick and easy to navigate, shop and pay securely.

This mobile service is the first from any private sale site and comes as the retailer discovered in its recent consumer research that 40 per cent of its shoppers had bought products via a mobile device, and concluded that the addition of the mobile platform would be critical to its future growth.

Founded in 2008, BrandAlley UK runs five new private sales each day, with up to 70 per cent off RRP across fashion, beauty, homeware and lifestyle, and is targeting 10 per cent of all revenue via mobile in the next year.

BrandAlley Marketing and PR Director Melissa Littler said: “With online access via mobile forecast to outgrow computers in 2014, we're ready and able to take advantage of this. We plan 10 per cent of our revenue next year will come via mobile, and it will be critical to our future growth. Our members are savvy shoppers who want to get a great deal wherever they are at a time that suits them. Our most popular sales can sell out within hours and our members can now browse the site on their way to work and make sure they don’t miss out on their favourite brands.”
