Caggie Dunlop launches fashion brand

Singer and former Made in Chelsea star Caggie Dunlop has
unveiled her own online fashion brand, It Starts With An Idea. The fashion concept will launch with a limited capsule collection of t-shirts, called ‘five ways’, which consists of five different themes: New York, rebellion, Da Vinci, the universe and religion.The themes for the collection were set out by Dunlop, based on an expression of her beliefs and inspiration, and up-and-coming designers were invited to send in their designs, which she then handpicked four of the best before creating the fifth herself.
Commenting on her new brand Dunlop said: “I just had an idea- rather than attaching my name to a label and have no creative input I thought I’d give my name to those who can’t get a break, and platform some of the amazing talent that otherwise might go unnoticed.
“It doesn’t rely on any fashion heavyweights; it’s just about having fun- being creative and expressing yourself. And it is completely in the hands of the youth today, which personally, I find very exciting.”
The tees go on sale today, April 18, and there will only be 1,000 t-shirts for sale, 200 per design. A follow-up collection of t-shirts is in the planning stages and will be titled, l’Esprit de l’Escalier for which design ideas will again be invited. There is also a jewellery collection in collaboration with emerging designer Zara Taylor in the pipeline.
