Cambridge Satchel Company teams up with Vivienne Westwood

British accessories brand Cambridge Satchel Company

is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a collaboration with fashion designer Vivienne Westwood. The special collaborative collection, first spotted at Westwood’s Red Label spring/summer 2014 show during London Fashion Week, is inspired by the British designer’s 1981 ‘Pirate’ collection and will launch this October.

The anniversary bags will be available in two sizes, 11 and 14 inch, and three colour ways and will feature pale tan buckles and straps that replicate those on Westwood’s ‘Pirate’ boots, and use a ‘Squiggle’ print that also appeared in the collection.

Commenting on the collection, Cambridge Satchel Company founder Julie Deane, said: "We've brought a quintessential British bag back into fashion and so when we thought about a dream British brand to work with on an anniversary range, Westwood was the most obvious choice for a collaboration and to keep the brand moving in a fashion direction.”

The bags will be available in both Vivienne Westwood and Cambridge Satchel Company stores from October.
