Camper names first creative director

Spanish footwear firm Camper has taken on French designer Romain Kremer as its first creative

director.

The younger designer is no stranger to the footwear firm; Kremer has been collaborating with Camper on its Camper Together designer collections since 2009 and has acted as brand consultant for its main collection since 2013.

Kremer's first collection for the label is set to launch this September, alongside with Camper's new advertorial campaign, which was shoot by the French designer himself. Camper's Chief Executive Officer, Miguel Fluxá, told WWD that his “talent, unique vision and understanding of the brand” would see to the label moving “to the next level”.

Prior to joining the Spanish label, Kremer was head designer for all men's wear divisions at Mugler, a role he took on in 2011. He worked under the supervision of the brands former creative director, Nicola Formichetti, for two years before departing from the company.
