Care International

In its sixth year, Care International challenges teams from fashion and footwear industries with a

sports day to raise funds in aid of development agency Care International. The next event takes place at Cannock Chase Country Park in Staffordshire on 21st May 2011.

The Care event attracted past participants such as John Smedley, Mulberry, Church’s, Gucci, Mulberry and Timberland, as well as retailers including John Lewis and Marks and Spencer. Last year's event, raised a record £60,000 to support Care's poverty-fighting work. Care works in more than 70 countries, and its work includes microfinance projects helping garment workers, shoemakers and tailors to start or expand their small businesses, allowing them to feed their family and send their children to school
