Cloggs taps new head of e-commerce

Online footwear retailer Cloggs has appointed Richard Moore as its new head of e-commerce to lead further growth across all
traffic sources to its UK and international sites.Moore will also be in charge of leading effective marketing strategies to help grow website conversion and customer retention. He succeeds Jason Watkins, who was the interim commercial and e-commerce director. Prior to joining Cloggs, Moore was the head of international markets at online retailer Mobile Fun.
“We have ambitious plans for growth and Richard’s appointment is indicative of our intentions to grow the Cloggs brand,” said Cloggs managing director Chris Thomas to Drapers. “He has an impressive CV and brings with him significant e-commerce knowledge and experience, which will help us develop the business further.”
After being acquired by JD Sports Fashion last February, the company has been busy expanding and developing its online business by increasing its brand offering. Last October the online footwear retailer revealed plans to open a chain of twenty stand alone stores throughout the UK over the next five years.
