Cash for Clothes Xchange, which helps people dispose off their
old, used, and unwanted clothes in exchange for money, has opened additional collection centres as demand for the service increases. The store, which pays money for unwanted items and clothes by the kilo, has opened stores in Beeston, Bedford, Leeds, Lincoln, and Manchester, in addition to servicing South Wales, Clacton-on-Sea, Sheffield, Hull and Liverpool.
The service is gaining popularity as it offers a convenient way for people to make more space in their wardrobe for new clothes while getting paid for the old ones. Currently rates for clothes are 60 pence per kilo, which amounts to 6 pounds for a standard bin bag based on a 10kg weight.
The service accepts re-usable apparel, as well as handbags, accessories, jewellery and shoes, and all goods are then exported, recycled or reused.
