Clothes Show to host Graduate Marketplace

The UK’s largest fashion and beauty event, Clothes Show Live,
is adding an extensive educational programming for 2011 including a new Graduate Marketplace. Heading up the educational programme is Clothes Show veteran Caryn Franklin, who has been named Educational Ambassador, in her role she will be sharing her expert insider knowledge and hosting educational seminars.Additionally, Clothes Show Live will host the Graduate Marketplace in association with More! magazine. The area will house small businesses and start-ups straight out of university, and will allow students to shop from exclusive collections and chat to brand owners to find out the secret of their success. The aim of the new platform is to give those who have turned their dream into a reality a place to showcase their success, as well as give advice to future talent.
Other highlights of the educational programme include: a University & College Forum, with over 25 higher education institutes; a Graduate Catwalk, which gives final year students and graduates the opportunity to display their work live; the Creative Awards, with awards given in design, communication and art and craft; educational seminars, which includes speakers from high street brands such as Topshop, Miss Selfridge and River Island; and Sknitch, a dedicated feature to help students and visitors improve their fashion techniques, this area includes workshops and demonstrations as well as craft projects.
This year’s Clothes Show Live are also offering a special educational discount, where students can visit the event Monday - Wednesday for just £20, that’s £7 off the standard priced ticket.
