Copenhagen Fashion Week - A special collaboration: CIFF, Vision and Gallery

about it; from 31-01 to 03-02, Copenhagen is absolutely the place to be for fashion enthusiasts. That’s when the Danish capital is dominated by the Fashion Week and every season the organisation goes a step further. Since the three established fairs have cleverly joined forces to enhance visitors’ enjoyment, the event has grown with each edition. Renewal everywhere, that’s the key. Not only in the selection of brands but perhaps even more in terms of its look and feel. Both the CIFF and Gallery have announced – particularly impressive- locations for their respective fair floors and shows. And VISION is also continually developing…

Gallery International Fashion Fair
Gallery’s show scene is taking place in the ‘The Old Stock Exchange’ for the first time this year. This authentic and majestic building will undoubtedly do justice to the big names that will appear on its catwalk. Gallery holds a global reputation for its shows, many with Scandinavian roots. Yet the international crème de la crème will also strut their stuff, consider such names as Vivienne Westwood and - the special- from our own country: Ready to Fish. You can view the calendar and participating brands at your leisure on the completely renewed website: www.gallery.dk. The fact that the site also has a Chinese version says plenty about the growing international character of the fair. Gallery International Fashion Fair is considered to be one of the most prominent fashion fairs in the world and with its deeply rooted core values of: ‘quality’, ‘innovation’ and 'accessibility’ the fair lives up to its reputation. You can register on the site, after which you will receive a free entrance pass to all three fairs and a ticket for the Metro in the centre of Copenhagen.

Copenhagen International Fashion Fair – CIFF
CIFF is entering its twentieth season and is continuing to soar. Its anniversary is thus entirely in the theme of renewal. The organisation is extremely proud (and rightly so!) of the introduction of the Crystal Hall, a wonderful showcase designed especially for CIFF by Jean Christophe Aumas; who has worked with such famous names as Louis Vuitton, Celine and Christian Dior. An exceptional mix of brands will get the ball rolling in this new fair hall. The CIFF fair floor covers an impressive 40,000 m2 and will hold a very diverse range of brands. Furthermore, retailers in children’s clothing can visit CIFF Kids. VISION
And certainly don’t overlook VISION! A former locomotive station forms the decor for the fair floor where more than 350 brands will be showing their collections. This fair has a slightly rougher edge and perfectly completes the brands on offer at Gallery and CIFF. A look at the website: www.vision.dk shows that VISION offers a platform for many celebrated names in the fashion world. The innovative fashion fair has been going since 1998 and has certainly earned its stripes over the years. A handy fact: on the site, under Travel Guide, you will find all kinds of handy ‘tips & tricks’ for the exceptional gastronomy that is in rich supply in Copenhagen.

To cut a long story short: the more than 2400 brands that exhibit at the three collaborating fairs make Copenhagen the second largest fashion city in the world with regards to the brands on offer. Add to that the unique look and feel of the fair floors and catwalks and also the charm of the Danish capital and there is only one possible conclusion: the CFW is absolutely, 100% worth visiting!
