Rivalry in the fashion

world? Not in Scandinavia! At least, not during the Copenhagen Fashion Week. This is when the four biggest Scandinavian exhibitions – Gallery, Vision, CIFF and CPH Kids – all work together to form one complete fashion platform. And this has certainly made this extraordinary fashion event incredibly accessible ...

One fashion platform; ever so easy and accessible, as all information is available on one website, i.e. cfw.dk, which Japanese and Chinese people will also be able to access from 2013. After all, the organisation also wants to extend a welcoming hand to the large number of Asian buyers and to provide them with any information they may require. In actual fact, all international visitors have been considered, as a detailed guide is produced in various different languages, which doesn’t just provide in-depth information regarding the 4 exhibitions, but which also devotes attention to any particularly notable designers at the CFW and which provides tip & tricks in relation to the abundance of “must do’s” in Copenhagen.

One thing which makes the Copenhagen Fashion Week particularly accessible is the fact that you can visit all four exhibitions with one ticket. So you will only need to register once. And things are made as easy as possible for you during the fashion event, as there is so much to see in very little time. For example, visitors can use a free shuttle service between the 4 exhibitions and those of you who prefer to travel by underground – nice and urban! – can definitely count on a free underground pass.

Copenhagen will be exuding fashion during the CWF, but the hospitality will be equally impressive. The entire town is focussed on ensuring the fashion lovers visiting the exhibitions have a truly amazing time, a vibe which is already evident the moment you arrive at the airport. All plausible reasons to travel to the Danish capital during the CWF, but it goes without saying that the most important reason will always be the quality of the fashion platform. Copenhagen is only ever overshadowed by Paris where the offering of brands is concerned and the CWF will certainly continue to grow with the increasing interest in Scandinavian fashion – certainly also within the Japanese and Chinese markets.

"Copenhagen is definitely the perfect place to find current and future names. Many different talents have already demonstrated they are ready for ‘the real thing’ this season and it seems as if though they can almost naturally take the step from ‘talented’ to ‘successful’, according to Kasper Eis, Executive Vice President at Dansk Fashion & Textile.
