Italian fashion house Costume National has announced the launch of its new men’s and women's ready-to-wear line,
Costume and Costume.
Costume National has signed a five-year license agreement for the worldwide production and distribution of the new brand with FFI Global to replace its C’N’C collection. The new line will have a “more contemporary market approach” than C’N’C and the mainline and has been developed in respond to a market that the fashion house describes as “increasingly oriented” to retail and the web.
Costume and Costume launched this week in Florence in partnership with luxury boutique Luisaviaroma, with its Autumn/Winter 2014 collection. The line will have its own independent structures of distribution and direct retail stores, as well as being available in Costume National flagship stores.
The label is also planning to open boutiques and spaces inside selected shopping malls and department stores in Europe, USA and Far East Asia. A pilot space will be opened in Nanjhin in China February 2014. In addition, the development plan is to open 10 boutiques between Europe and Asia Pacific.
