British luxury eyewear brand Cutler and Gross will open

its first American store this month in New York City.

Located at 110 Mercer Street, the new store will offer full optometric and prescription services, as well as housing a permanent exhibition of more than 4,000 frames dating from 1969 to the present date, including their collaborative frames with designers such as Giles Deacon and Maison Martin Margiela.

In addition, the store will also house a private showroom where clients can meet with an expert stylist to create one-off creations and utilise the brand’s bespoke services.

The interior of the store has been designed by Mani Mani of Fishtnk Design Factory and has a minimal vibe inspired by the charm of the New York’s Cast Iron District and the New York Arts Movement of the 1960s, as well as paying tribute to the brand’s London flagship in Knightsbridge.

To coincide with the launch, the eyewear brand has created a limited-edition New York Style collection, featuring frames designed by New York-based personalities, with all profits benefiting New York-based charities.

The brand currently has stores in London, Toronto, and Hong Kong, as well as an appointment-only showroom in Tehran.
